Finesse Jig Skirted

For years, a jig was my bass lure of last resort, but that was in the days when jigs were fished with pork and looked big enough to pierce battleship armor. The Jewel finesse jig was an eye-opener that changed my life--or at least my fishing. With it, I learned not to avoid vertical presentations (as opposed to horizontal presentations like spinnerbaits and crankbaits. In the past six years, all of my biggest bass (6 to 7 pounds at Grand Lake, OK) have come on Jewel finesse jigs. And the last time I was out (May, 2020), I got 12 strikes and landed every one of them because they were hooked in the roof of the mouth. Now, this is my No. 1 lure choice.
